Recipe Ideas For Easter Sunday Brunch or Dinner
Easter is one of my favorite holidays. It represents both a physical renewal with the arrival of spring and a spiritual renewal with the resurrection. I enjoy celebrating Easter Sunday with either a brunch or a family holiday meal. Each year, I put together a simple menu featuring some of our favorite recipes, which you can enjoy with your own friends and family too.
Quick and Easy Dutch Baby – German Pancake
Make a quick, nourishing Dutch Baby for breakfast, topped with your favorite jam or fresh fruit – perfect for any morning! My favorite jam for Dutch Baby Pancakes is my Homemade Cherry Vanilla Jam, mixed with sour cream.
Set the table for Easter Brunch will all your favorite toppings. Jam, jelly, fresh fruit, powdered sugar….whatever fits your fancy. Remember this is a holiday – have fun with it.
Simple and Delicious Classic Deviled Eggs
Craft timeless, simple, and delicious classic deviled eggs with a smooth filling. The perfect old-fashioned appetizer for any occasion!
Prep these in advance when you are hard boiling your eggs for dying. Check out these natural non-toxic ways to color eggs.
Tallow Skillet Potatoes
Tallow skillet potatoes, a side dish that will have your family scraping the pan for drippings. Easy to make and versatile with any entree you serve. If you’re going more mediterranean this Easter, serve these with a mint garlic yogurt sauce. Ah so good!
Dutch Oven Braised Roast
No matter what type of roast you choose to do – Beef, Pork or Lamb (my Easter favorite), braising is the way to go every time. No stress, easy prep and a low and slow bake during Sunday service will give you a gourmet Easter Sunday Dinner.
Traditional Dutch Oven Roast Chicken
What came first, the chicken or the egg? For Easter Sunday Dinner – serve them both! Set the table with a platter of Classic Deviled Eggs and a beautifully roasted whole chicken.
Lazy Girl Artisan Sourdough Boule
No dinner, especially a holiday feast is complete without bread. Prep this loaf the night before to eliminate any “day of” frenzy. Don’t want to make a boule? Try my Sourdough Sandwich or Traditional Sandwich Loaf for fresh Easter Sunday bread!
