Emergency Evacuation List
List for reference:
Remember this is for an emergency – People first than animals.
Level 1:
Important documents (will/birth certificates/marriage certificates/insurance/titles/etc.) if you cannot quickly find it move onto the next thing.
Any cash in the home
Any medications needed daily/first aid kit (if in the car/already owned)
base level toiletries
Infants/Toddlers: breast pump/bottles/diapers/wipes
Backpack or duffle bag for each member of the family – include general clothing examples: pajamas, underwear, socks, shorts, pants, t-shirt, long sleeve, sweater, one jacket/coat, favorite toy or book (making bedtime easier) blanket/pillow if space available. Shoes – have closed toe/sturdy shoes on the feet and possibly a secondary sandals /tennis in the backpack.
Any water/water bottles you may have
Phone/charger
Bible
Extra gas (gas tank)
Flashlight/Lanterns
Note: things that get hit hard during an evacuation are gas stations/ATM’s/grocery stores
Level 2:
Things that are irreplaceable.
Photos, family heirlooms (not large furniture), generational books/journals
Extra food/shelf stable pantry staples that can be eaten anywhere – easily transported
laptop/charger
Level 3
IF TIME/SPACE ALLOWS
Any extra animal feed/necessites
more pantry staples
generators/equipment that is expensive and harder to replace
extra clothing – think nicer coats, shoes, extra socks etc.
guns/ammo
more toiletries
extra blankets
Photos/paintings
Cooler with refrigerated foods/frozen foods
Level 4
This is for at least 24 hour notice of evacuation
If you are able to remove extra freezers (full of meat) or disperse into coolers
Stocked pantry items
Full clothing as much as possible
Kitchen utensils (most used accessories like instant pot/ silverware/ basic set of dishes/ cutting board)
Furniture if able
Level 5
At this point you have the time to pack and move your entire home or at least as much as possible.
