I pair baked oatmeal with whatever fruit is in season, or in the winter months we eat it with some of the fresh fruit I have preserved throughout the year. It’s a wonderful way of getting in antioxidants and fruit throughout the winter months.

Protein can be added to baked oatmeal by adding in additional egg whites or a scoop of collagen peptides or protein powder to the baked oatmeal batter.
Rolled oats are also known as old fashioned oats. They are the steamed and flattened (rolled) version of Oat Groats, in order to have a shorter cooking time. They are not instant oats which have the highest amount of processing and the lowest nutritional value.
How To Make Baked Oatmeal For Breakfast

Step 1
Preheat oven to 375ºF and place a 8×10″ baking dish with butter in the oven.
Allowing the butter to melt.

Step 2
Mix all your ingredients into a large mixing bowl.

Step 3
Once butter has melted remove the pan from the oven and place your fresh fruit of choice in the bottom of the baking dish.

Step 4
Pour your oatmeal batter over the fresh fruit.

Step 5
Bake for 20-25 minutes until fruit is bubbling and oats are beginning to brown.

Step 6
Allow baked oatmeal to cool slightly before serving.
Serve with a topping of milk or cream.

- 3 Cups Rolled Oats
- 1/3 Cup Maple Syrup
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 2 Eggs
- 2 Cups Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 Cup Fruit
Instructions
