Berry Yogurt Popsicles
A sweet treat full of antioxidants and protein, these berry yogurt popsicles are quick to make and loved by all.

During the summer I am secretly (or not so secretly) looking to preserve food in any way possible. This year popsicles have become my preferred method for almost anything. Blend together fruit, honey and yogurt and BAM a dessert or a healthy snack was just born.
These popsicles are sugar free and delicious. My girls love them, they think they are a dessert but really they are eating a frozen breakfast smoothie. I love it because nutrients, not sugar and seed oils, are going into their little growing bodies.
Equipment needed to make popsicles
- Popsicle mold
- Popsicle sticks
- Blender
Popsicles are pretty kid friendly in the kitchen. When I made these I placed everything on the kitchen table so the girls could pull up aside. They loved adding in the berries and placing the popsicle sticks into the mold. I would encourage you to include them in this activity, especially if they helped pick the berries.
How to make berry yogurt popsicles
Honestly making popsicles is as easy as 1, 2, 3. Gather your ingredients, purée, pour into the mold and freeze.
First, I would highly recommend especially if toddlers are involved, setting your popsicle mold on either a cookie sheet or in a glass dish. For those guaranteed spills.

Layer your ingredients into the blender, making sure to have yogurt at both the bottom and top to easily blend the frozen berries.

Pour into your popsicle mold. Don’t worry about spilling! You can scrape the excess onto the top of one that looks a tad lower than the others.

Once your mold is full take a knife and stir each pop. You wouldn’t want to find any air pockets in your popsicles after freezing.

Place the top of your mold onto your base and insert your popsicle sticks. I love knowing each is firmly in the center. Nothing like a crooked treat.

Most molds come with a pack of sticks but I would recommend getting longer standard ones.

Let your kids choose the flavor and you can add in the healthy ingredients. My girls loved helping make these berry yogurt popsicles. I would unofficially classify the day as a mini montessori lesson.
Popsicles take about 3-4 hours to freeze solid. Once frozen, you can then pop them out of the mold. I prefer to store them in a ziplock in the freezer, that way you can make as many as your heart desires.
