Ever have a random package of ground beef hanging out in the fridge? There are thousands of recipes for burger but one of my favorites, is greek meatballs. Simple to create, these meatballs go well with rice, feta, tzatziki, tomatoes and kalamata olives.
HOW TO MAKE GREEK MEATBALLS
Greek seasoned meatballs are exceptionally easy to create. A large bowl, two hands, seasonings and high fat ground beef or a healthy fat, such as lard or tallow, added to your meat is all that is required to create juicy flavor packed meatballs.
Equipment Required
- Mixing Bowl
- Skillet
Place your ground beef in a large mixing bowl and add egg, tallow and desired seasonings.
Mix thoroughly with your hands until all ingredients are well incorporated.
Begin to shape and form into small meatballs.
Place into a hot and lightly oiled cast iron skillet and cook over medium high heat until browned.

These homemade and hand rolled meatballs beat every store-bought version any night. Use as keftedes, filling for mock gyros, or just dipping in tzatziki (MY FAVORITE). Serve over bone broth rice and top with cherry tomatoes, kalamata olives and homemade tzatziki. You cannot go wrong!
